Leif and Thorvald Eriksson are sons of Erik "the Red" Thorvaldsson, a Viking known for both his fiery hair and temper. Exiled to Greenland after an argument over land, Eric and his family have established a settlement called Nuuk and live in relative isolation.
But his sons are determined to cross the Great Sea and seek Vinland-a land they've only heard about in legends. For now, Leif and Thor are imprisoned on the desolate isle with no one to accompany them on their journey.
